Tony and Melissa Luther

Founders and Executive Directors of Living Sent Missions:

me and tony

Tony and Melissa Luther have been married since 1993 and have 4 children. The Lord has been working in their lives for many years and has given them a passion to reach the Dominican Republic for Jesus Christ. They sold all they had and moved their three kids, at the time, to the DR in 2010. The year after they arrived in the DR, God placed a baby, by the name of Franklin, in their path. Franklin was abandoned by his biological mother. He was born with HIV and was very ill. The doctors said he might live another month, but the Luther family knew their God was bigger than that. Franklin is now  3 years old and is receiving treatment for his HIV and lives a life full of health and happiness. They are still in the process of adoption, but hope to complete it this year.

In 2011 God gave them a vision to begin a Pregnancy Resource Center in the Dominican Republic. They began their outreach through a mission team who presented the abstinence message in several of the local schools. Because of that team, God opened the door for them to return to each of those schools the following school year. That was just the beginning of seeing God move in extraordinary ways.

Rikelvin Lopez

Director of Abstinence Education:

Rikelvin is the type of person who wants to please God in everything he does.  He is very excited to be a part of this ministry because it gives him the opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. He has a great concern for his country because of the problem with prostitution, drugs, alcohol, sexually transmitted diseases and teen age pregnancy.

He believes the Bible when it says, “Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.” Hebrews 13:4

He chooses to honor God and his future wife by keeping himself pure until marriage and it his desire to share this message with the youth of this country, because they are the future of his country.

It brings Rikelvin great joy to see teens place their trust in Jesus Christ and make the commitment to remain pure until marriage.

Corelia Bohorquez

Director of Sosua Pregnancy Resource Center

Coralia Bohorquez is 44 years old and married with four children ages 21, 16, 12 and 6 years old. Her family is from Bolivia.  When living in Bolivia, she had a dream to work with young girls in crisis pregnancy. But before moving to the Dominican Republic the Lord moved them to Mexico to work with street children. God then open doors in the Dominican Republic where they met the Luther family. When the Luther’s shared the vision of the Pregnancy Resource Center, Corelia knew in that moment that He was putting them together to do the work of this ministry; working together to save babies and show the mothers the unconditional love of Jesus.
